"People and their Place" Irish Landscape Conference
held in Tullamore, Ireland, 13-16 October 2009, with the support of Natural England and RECEP-ENELC
The Report of the 2009 Irish Landscape Conference can be downloaded from the website of Heritage Council.
The report highlights the issues raised during the Heritage Council’s
Landscape Conference in October 2009. It draws on the papers,
presentations and discussions at the conference, including the European
Co-operation Workshop, and subsequent internal discussions at Council
and consultation with all participants.
Everyone who has an interest in the ongoing management, planning and conservation of the Irish Landscape is encouraged to read the report and comment on it.
Comments should be sent to abarcoe@heritagecouncil.ie by March 12th, 2010.
The Heritage Council is using the Tullamore Report as a further
resource to assist it in developing priorities for its submission on
the National Landscape Strategy, currently being prepared by the Department of Environment Heritage and Local Government as part of the Programme for Government.
